Overview

We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, team-oriented nurse to join our small animal nursing team at Avondale Vets on a 12 month contract.

Advance Your Skills

In this role, you will work under the guidance of our Head Veterinary Nurse, providing high-level surgical nursing care to support a wide range of first opinion medical and surgical cases. You will have the opportunity to be involved in training student veterinary nurses and be encouraged to utilise all of your nursing skills. This includes performing nurse consultations, providing in-patient medical care, and assisting with diagnostic work such as cytology and urinalysis. You will also play a key role in dental nursing, including taking and processing dental radiographs and performing oral scaling and polishing. You will be supported by our dedicated reception team and pharmacy dispenser, allowing you to focus on your clinical duties.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position totaling 38 hours per week, comprising two shifts from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, two shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and one Saturday shift every four weeks from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
