Night Registered Veterinary Nurse - South West England

Location: Cave Referral - Wellington, Somerset

Hours: 37.5hrs per week (average) - part time considered

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience + enhanced night pay + benefits

The Role

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our night team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a calm, focused environment and enjoys the autonomy and responsibility that comes with overnight care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to inpatients overnight, including monitoring, administering medications, and responding to emergencies.
  • Work closely with our on-call veterinary surgeons and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and handovers to the day team.
  • Support and mentor student nurses and patient care assistants where appropriate.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and uphold our values of compassion, excellence, and integrity.
What We’re Looking For
  • A qualified RVN registered with the RCVS.
  • Previous experience in referral or emergency care is desirable but not essential - full training and support will be provided.
  • A calm, confident communicator with excellent clinical skills.
  • Someone who enjoys working independently but also values being part of a close-knit team.
