Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse with an interest in Women's Health to join our friendly team here at the Royal Derby Hospital.

Post Details

The post will be based within Gynaecology ward 209 and Gynae Day Case Unit. 209 is a 21 bedded ward which sees a mixture of planned and unplanned admissions.

Currently GDCU is open 7 days a week offering 24/7 care, we offer many learning and development opportunities.

The post holder will also have the opportunity to work across our other Gynae areas including the Gynaecology Emergency Assessment Unit, fertility and Gynae Outpatient Department, giving a unique insight and experience of the patient journey along with the opportunity to learn many new skills.

The successful candidate will assess, plan, implement and evaluate holistic, individualised patient care in a safe and caring environment in the most efficient and clinically effective way whilst acting as the patient’s advocate and maintaining privacy and dignity.

Ward 209 and Gynaecology Day case shifts are in line with shift harmonisation and the successful candidate will work on an internal rotation of days and nights.
