Overview

Pay: £43,000.00 - £45,500.00 per year. Starting Salary: £43,000 (PIP) - £45,500 (WCA) + bonus scheme and benefits. Location: Hybrid (office and home working) Reading. Hours: Monday to Friday 9 – 5. Roles for Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Pharmacists and Paramedics. We are recruiting for registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists (OTs) in Reading who want to use and to build upon their clinical skills and knowledge and benefit from the excellent work life balance and professional development that a career as a PIP OR WCA Functional Assessor can give you.

Responsibilities
  • You will undertake a combination of file-work, face-to-face and telephone/video assessments with customers in relation to PIP OR ESA benefits.
  • Provide comprehensive reports to enable decision makers at DWP to make informed decisions regarding benefit claims. Assessments focus on how a disability affects a customer’s day to day life and performing work related activities.
  • Work in a hybrid environment with a minimum of 2 days per week at one of our consultation centres.
Benefits and Working Arrangements
  • Salary uplift: £1000 after 6 months, plus a further £1000 after 12 months.
  • Up to 10% quality and performance bonus once you’re an Approved Functional Assessor.
  • 9am – 5pm contracts with no nights; weekends not required.

Requirements
  • One year’s post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
  • Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other), without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathise and dig deeper.
  • The ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute.
