Responsibilities
  • Be the named nurse for individual residents, with a dedicated focus on their needs assessments and personal care plans, reviewing these bi-monthly in line with Signature policy.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day running of your defined care area, including providing personal care to residents and leadership and guidance to the care team.
  • Manage monthly routine medications and supervise the care team when delivering this medication.
  • Respond to any and all emergency situations, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • Act as a role model for all staff and mentor the care services team, sharing specialist knowledge to uphold high standards of care.
  • Develop strong relationships with residents to involve them in decisions about their care, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
Qualifications
  • Active NMC registration
  • Awareness of CQC regulations
  • Working knowledge of health & safety and COSHH regulations
  • Post-registration qualifications are a big advantage
