Job summary

A children's residential care provider in Blaenau Gwent is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to oversee operations at their residential home. You will be responsible for leading a skilled team, ensuring high-quality care for young people with complex needs. Registered Manager - Children's Residential

Location: Blaenau Gwent
Salary: Up to £50,000
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established children's residential home in Blaenau Gwent. You will oversee the home's operations, ensuring compliance and delivering trauma‑informed care for young people with complex needs, including Autism, EBD, and CSE risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage high‑quality care in line with Welsh Government standards
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, RISCA, and inspection frameworks
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Officer and oversee safeguarding practices
  • Recruit, supervise, and develop staff to maintain a skilled team
  • Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and restorative justice
Essential Requirements
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children's Health & Social Care (essential)
  • Registered with Social Care Wales and DBS Update Service (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years' management experience in a children's home (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, RISCA, and HR procedures
  • Full UK Driving Licence
