The Role: Regional Tax Manager

Overview

Paddle offers digital product companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.

We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 5000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.

Responsibilities

What you\'ll do:

This is a high profile tax role in a market leading high tech company with indirect tax management at the core of its value proposition.

The position will report directly to the VP of Tax who is based in London.

The team is looking for a strong tax accountant who has hands-on experience on managing global indirect taxes. Key responsibilities include:

  • manage the monthly accounting and compliance processes for global indirect taxes,
  • support the business with ad hoc indirect matters from existing customers, buyers and prospects,
  • manage at least one direct report and the work of other tax consultants who provide assistance,
  • oversee direct tax in a limited number of companies/branches operating as simple group service companies,
  • there is also the opportunity to get involved in other group tax projects.

A separate tax manager leads North American sales taxes and so a detailed knowledge of US sales tax is not required. The ‘Rest of World’ indirect tax portfolio is shared with one other tax manager. These 3 Regional Managers will be peers and work very closely together on monthly close processes and controls.

This is a truly global and varied role where collaboration is required across the length and breadth of the business.
