A local authority in the United Kingdom is seeking Waste Refuse Collectors for full-time roles. Ideal candidates are physically fit and hardworking, able to manage daily walks and understand Health & Safety instructions. Waste is a busy operational department thatprovides essential services to the residents of Coventry, Nuneaton & Bedworth and Commercial. We conductover 210,000 collections a week on an alternate weekly collection system in Coventry alone, collection domestic waste . In order to conduct the services we provide we have a large number of crews across all services and use various tipping locations.
We have several vacancies for Waste Refuse Collectors to work with our diverse residents and communities across Coventry, Nuneaton & Bedworth, as well as Commercial Services. We are offering full‑time, fixed‑term contracts (6 months) for individuals interested in joining our team as Refuse Collectors. We are committed to building a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. At present, we have very few women and people from minority ethnic backgrounds in our team, and we would like this to change. We therefore strongly encourage applications from these groups.
