Job description

Responsibilities / Tasks

DairyFlow is a trusted GEA dealership and a approved supplier of Mueller cooling equipment delivering advanced dairy technology and expert support to farms across Scotland. We specialise in the installation, service, and maintenance of milking equipment, automation systems, and milk cooling solutions. Our team works closely with dairy producers to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and compliance.
We are currently seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our skilled service team.

The Role :

As a Refrigeration Technician at DairyFlow, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of all refrigeration systems on dairy farms, primarily focusing on Mueller milk cooling tanks, silos and associated plant. You’ll ensure systems run efficiently, meet industry standards, and support dairy farms in maintaining milk quality and cooling performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of bulk milk tanks and cooling systems

  • Diagnose and repair faults in refrigeration units and associated electrical systems

  • Respond to on-site breakdowns quickly and efficiently

  • Install new refrigeration units and upgrade existing systems as required

  • Perform refrigerant handling in compliance with F-Gas regulations

  • Maintain accurate records and complete service reports

  • Provide technical support and advice to farmers and the DairyFlow team

  • Participate in a shared on-call rota for emergency breakdowns

Your Profile / Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Refrigeration Technician (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)

  • F-Gas certification

  • Experience in agricultural, dairy, or commercial refrigeration preferred

  • Strong fault-finding and repair skills

  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Full UK driving licence (or equivalent)

  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
