Overview

Recycling Assistant

8-30am till 4-30pm • 37 Hours • £13.26 per hour

Responsibilities

• As part of a countywide education campaign to inform residents about the kerbside recycling service and which materials can or cannot be recycled, support the Strategic Waste and Operational/Street Scene teams.
• Be enthusiastic and have an interest in the environment, in particular waste prevention and recycling. Waste related knowledge would be an advantage, although training will be provided.
• Be customer focused, friendly, and an excellent communicator with the ability to talk to residents face to face to educate and answer questions about the service. Excellent organisational skills also required.
• Applicants must hold a current valid driving licence.
• The postholders will also be required to work outside of normal working hours, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

Qualifications: 5 GCSEs (A-C grade) or equivalent.
