Join our team as Recruitment Assistant!

Chester Race Company has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and people-focused individual to join our Resourcing team as a Recruitment Assistant.

Based in Chester, this permanent role plays a fundamental part in delivering our mission to attract incredible talent. You’ll be a key part of creating a smooth, friendly and memorable experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

Working closely with our Recruitment Advisor, you’ll get hands‑on experience across the entire recruitment journey — from coordinating interviews to supporting hiring campaigns.

General Responsibilities include:
  • Post job advertisements ensuring 100% accuracy.
  • Review and shortlist applications, conducting group and telephone interviews.
  • Schedule interviews, assessments, and recruitment events.
  • Act as a key point of contact for candidates.
  • Assistwith pre-employment checks.
  • Ensure all recruitment and onboarding processes are documented clearly.
  • Monitor workforce records to ensure100% compliance with employment legislation,internal policies, health & safety regulations.
  • Assist with engagement initiatives, including social media and website promotion, recruitment campaigns, and career events.
  • Supportthe widerResourcing teams on race days asrequired.
Essential requirements:
  • Previous experience in an administrative role.
  • Competent user of Microsoft office, experience of applicant tracking software is a bonus.
  • Confident collaborator experienced working with multiple stakeholders.
Desirable requirements:
  • Experience within a recruitment, resourcing or workforce planning role within hospitality, events or sports industries.
  • Experience working with diverse teams.
  • Understanding of employment law, right to work legislation and health and safety compliance.

Salary:

£25,000 – £27,000 per annum

Hours of work:

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. CRC is an event company; you will be required to work some weekends and evenings. Any work beyond the contracted hours will be eligible for time off in lieu. CRC has a flexible approach to working hours, which should be agreed with your line manager.
