Overview

Job Summary

This is a multi-skilled roll to provide an effective, patient-focused Service in the delivery of administration and portering.

Main duties

Administration

  • Ensure that no patient waits longer than the Trust's guidelines for their appointment by utilising clinic capacity to a maximum
  • To act as a first point of contact on the telephone or face to face, for patients, visitors and other healthcare professionals, providing a positive and responsive point of contact on behalf of the Physiotherapy Department and Trust during opening hours.
  • To provide an effective, efficient reception and administration service, to patients and other visitors to the department.
  • The post will require the utilisation of good clerical, organisational, communication and people skills.

Portering

  • Provision of appropriate portering services
  • To be support all other Teams within St Leonards Hospital as required.
  • To monitor certain areas of the building and ensure safety of staff working within the hospital.
