Overview

Receptionist position at University Technical College Norfolk, Old Hall Road, Norwich, NR4 6FF. Permanent, full-time role with salary £21,611.31 - £23,555.11 (Actual). Closing date 9:00am, 6th Oct 2025. Start date October 2025. Position(s) available: 1. Interview date(s): 9th/10th October.

Purpose of the Job

To be the first point of call for visitors to the school, parents, staff and students. The receptionist should be welcoming, personable, helpful and able to represent the School professionally. The role includes supporting managers, teachers and students by undertaking routine administrative and clerical duties, including reception/switchboard duties. The role requires organisation, ability to multitask, flexibility and a proactive “can do” approach. The role will involve providing first aid for students and staff as necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as first point of contact for visitors, answering inquiries and directing to appropriate staff.
  • Provide reception/switchboard duties and general administrative support to managers, teachers and students.
  • Maintain organised records and routine office tasks; multitask and prioritize in a busy school environment.
