Job description

Receptionist / Bartender (Crew Member) – MOXY Southampton

This position is based on a casual contract.

Gross Salary: £13.13 per hour

Confident communicator comfortable in a fast-paced, service-focused role.

Proactive problem solver and team player, who builds a fun and relaxed environment that makes guests feel at home.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

1. Helping guests and creating positive experiences
2. Manage hotel room inventory and check guests in/out the Moxy way
3. Operate Food & Beverage outlets in line with Moxy standards
4. Manage bills and payments accurately
5. Prepare food, clean, restock, take deliveries, and organize BOH areas
6. Follow all food safety, licensing, and health and safety policies to work safely
7. Support other Crew Members and follow directions from Crew Leaders
8. Promote and support the Moxy brand & the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program

We’re looking for someone with Moxie, which includes:

1. High energy and a proactive attitude
2. Good communication skills and enjoy engaging with guests
3. Ability to multitask effectively while providing excellent service
4. Understanding that being relaxed isn’t the same as being lazy
5. Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus!)

Useful Experience

1. Experience in the service industry
2. Knowledge of hotel systems such as Opera and/or Micros
3. Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws
4. Personal experience of travel and the travel industry
