Job overview

A vacancy has arisen for a full time Band 3 administrative clerk in the Therapy Department at Whipps Cross Hospital. This service provides treatment for patients referred by consultants and local GP’s. The Whipps Cross Hospital Therapy service is based across three sites. There are excellent links between all sites and staff, regular meetings are held for information and service planning. The Band 3 Administrative / Receptionist Clerk may be required to work at Whipps Cross Hospital, Chingford Hospital and Wanstead Hospital and may involve working evenings and possibly weekends. The post holders may be required to cover Orthotics. They will work as part of a team which consist of Receptionists, Receptionist with administration duties and report to a Site Administrative Lead. They will liaise with other support workers, students, physiotherapists, site leads and managers. The post holder will support with patient, staff enquiries and reception duties. Applicants must have good communication and computer skills. We use the Choose and Book system for GP referrals and the CRS electronic appointment system. Knowledge of CRS would be desirable but training can be arranged. Reception and typing experience would be essential. Main duties of the job

The main duties involve full receptionists with administration duties and support to the Extended Scope Therapy Service, physiotherapists and investigate complaints, participate in data collection, supporting Band 5 in other delegated duties. This post may require to work across three local sites and evening cover, assist with staff development and training and management may request further tasks as required.

To provide reception and administrative support to the outpatient therapy teams and orthotics team based at Whipps Cross hospital. Providing effective office system management to ensure the smooth running of the department and assist the therapy team in the provision of the service.
