Overview

We are working exclusively with a prestigious Family Office, looking to hire a Real Estate Project/Development Manager to support with the development and management of their £1bn property portfolio.

This role will report into the RE Development Director and work closely with the principal of the family office. Initially, you will support with the development of some high-profile UK based assets, coordinating with the heads of construction, building consultants and architects. You will oversee a team who manage a diverse portfolio which spans the UK, Western Europe, and South America and has a variety of assets including large estates, working agriculture, residential units etc. The Family Office is growing considerably, and long-term work will be highly varied, with a blend of ongoing development oversight, partnering with the investment team to assess the viability of opportunities, conducting scenario analysis, building out budgets and forecasts and providing analysis on performance across the portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Support development of high-profile UK-based assets, coordinating with heads of construction, building consultants and architects.
• Oversee a team managing a diverse portfolio spanning the UK, Western Europe, and South America with assets including large estates, working agriculture, and residential units.
• Collaborate with the investment team to assess viability of opportunities, conduct scenario analysis, and build budgets and forecasts.
• Provide analysis on performance across the portfolio and contribute to ongoing development oversight.
• Work closely with the RE Development Director and the principal of the family office, communicating with a range of stakeholders to create value.

Qualifications

• Intelligent professional from the Real Estate industry with minimum 4 years’ experience (background could include development managers, surveyors, project managers, family office professionals, etc.).
• Excellent academic record; additional relevant qualifications are highly desirable (for example MRICS).
• Effective communication skills with a range of stakeholders and a proven ability to thrive in a value-adding role with high visibility to business leaders.

Compensation and Benefits

• Team is prepared to offer a significant uplift from current base salary.
• Bonuses will be a minimum of 50%, often extending to 100%.
