Job summary

A leading NHS trust in the UK is seeking a motivated Band 5 Radiographer to perform a range of radiographic examinations and provide imaging support in theatres. You will benefit from a structured mentorship program and the opportunity to work across multiple hospital sites. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and be registered with the HCPC. Job description

LeedsRadiology currently has several exciting opportunities for keen, motivatedand enthusiastic Radiographers. This role may include cross-site Plain Filmrotation between two hospital sites which will allow you to develop and gaina broad depth of experience in various specialised aspects of our radiologyservice.

Ourestablished mentorship scheme includes a structured induction programme andcompetency training, one-to-one support and regular review meetings to ensureyou feel supported as you develop your skills, knowledge and experience.

CPDas a newly qualified Radiographer in plain film includes red dot withprogression to primary commenting evaluation and NG tube hot commenting.

Weare holding a Recruitment Event when interviews will take place on October18th 2025.

Pleasenote the shortlisting process will include a pre-screen call on MS Teamscandidates should have access to MS Teams.

Main duties of the job

Asa Band 5 plain film Radiographer main duties will include undertaking a widerange of general radiographic examinations in the emergency department andminor injury units, as well as in outpatient and inpatient departments. Inaddition, duties will include performing portable examinations in theresuscitation department and on general wards, as well on high dependency andintensive care units. As a Band 5 Radiographer you will be required toprovide imaging in theatre to support services such as Urology, Oncology,Trauma, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery. You be required to use avariety of radiographic equipment to produce high quality images. Fullequipment training will be provided as part of the mentorship programme, aswell training on imaging protocols and standards of image quality. As a Band5 Radiographer you will be required to work as part of a multi-disciplinaryteam. The successful candidates will need to be flexible and will participatein department 24/7 shift patterns

Qualifications
  • BSc Diagnostic Radiography, DCR or equivalent and be registered (or be about to register) with the Health Care Professions Council. Evidence of on-going CPD to satisfy HCPC
  • Attendance at professional lectures, study days and workshops
Experience
  • NHS experience working in different clinical environments
  • Ability to use radiographic equipment for departmental, portable and theatre examinations
  • Applying IR(ME)R (2017) and IRR(2017) Ability to work a varied and flexible working pattern including out of hours.
