Job description

A large Rail & Civil Engineering Contractor have a LIVE role for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team based on the north side of Glasgow. This will be joining with Asset Management team and be focused on Geo-technical aspects of current and future projects. You will join a close knit, collaborative team that will give you autonomy and support on a number of different and interesting projects. If you are looking for a secure, stable role with long term progression then this could be ideal.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in commercial management across multiple sites, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Preparing accurate and timely estimates and pricing submissions
  • Resolving pricing and contractual issues with clients
  • Maintaining effective client liaison
  • Collaborating with Site Managers to gather on-site information
  • Managing subcontractor relationships

This position comes with a salary of between £40k-55k plus a company car or car allowance, private medical cover, pension, life insurance, a generous holiday allowance and more.

Ideally you will have a degree in Quantity Surveying with over 4 years experience. Previous experience in Geo‑technical or Groundworks is highly advantageous but a Civils background would suffice.
