Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Quality Technician for a manufacturing client in Pontyclun. In this role, you will perform tests on samples, ensure correct traceability paperwork, and support the Quality Department with audits and training. Candidates should have good communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience in a laboratory is advantageous. This position offers a rotating shift pattern, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Undertake required tests on samples according to Quality Systems.
  • Ensure relevant traceability paperwork is correct.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and work to Good Laboratory Practices.
  • Support Quality Department with internal audits and training.

Job description

Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are looking for a Quality Technician for a leading Manufacturing Client in the Pontyclun area.

The opportunity has arisen for a Quality Technician to join the team, with a focus on Finished Goods.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake all required tests on relevant samples in accordance with the Client's Quality Systems and specifications.
  • Ensure that relevant traceability paperwork is available and correct.
  • Take decisions on relevant stock and entering information on the appropriate stock management system.
  • Communication on control results and decisions where necessary.
  • Administrative duties including timely completion and filling of records and management of the retainer stores.
  • Carrying out relevant preparation, calibration and validation of equipment where appropriate.
  • Organising work to ensure customer priorities are met.
  • Recording on non-conformances and appropriate follow up and communication.
  • Maintaining high Housekeeping standards and working to Good Laboratory Practices.
  • To support the Quality Department and Managers in any other relevant quality tasks including but not limited to internal audits, training of new staff, preparation of procedures or assisting with investigations.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Team Player.
  • Conscientious and self-motivated.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understand and use of relevant testing equipment.
  • Ability to work under pressure to achieve tight deadlines.
  • Good standard of general education including GCSE Maths and English, grades A - C (or equivalent), not essential but advantageous.
  • Is able to identify opportunities to implement new ideas and generate creative solutions.
  • Experience of working in a laboratory (Desirable).

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week on a rotating shift pattern, mornings and afternoons.
