Overview

Job Title: Quality Inspector - Precision Engineering (CNC)

Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Industry: Precision Engineering | Aerospace | Automotive | Defence

Responsibilities

• Inspection patrols
• Perform detailed inspection of precision CNC-machined components
• Use Mitutoyo measuring equipment (including CMM) for accurate assessments
• Operate CMMs using MCOSMOS software
• Interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001)
• Document inspection results and raise non-conformance reports
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve issues

Requirements

• Proven experience in quality inspection within a CNC precision engineering environment
• Strong knowledge of Mitutoyo equipment and MCOSMOS CMM software (DESIRABLE)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances
• Experience working to high-spec standards for aerospace, defence, or automotive sectors
• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable

• Engineering qualifications (NVQ, HNC, BTEC, etc.)
• Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, PPAP, 8D, etc.)
• Experience with visual or non-contact inspection systems
