Overview

Are you a highly skilled Quality Inspector with a strong background in heavy civils and a deep understanding of SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality)? We have an exciting opportunity for a freelance professional to join our client’s team on a major water upgrade framework.

This is a key role where you\'ll ensure all work adheres to the highest standards of quality and safety, from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Conducting SHE audits and inspections to ensure full compliance with all regulations.
• Implementing and monitoring the Health and Safety at Excavations in the Water Industry (HASEMP) framework to mitigate risks associated with excavations.
• Working closely with project teams to proactively identify and resolve quality issues.
• Performing regular inspections of materials, construction methods, and project documentation.
• Maintaining meticulous records of all inspections and audits.

What We\'re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector on water treatment or similar heavy civils projects.
• In-depth knowledge of quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes.
• Demonstrable experience with the HASEMP framework and its application in a live project environment.
• Excellent understanding of SHEQ standards and the ability to conduct effective SHE audits.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in civil engineering or quality management are a plus.
