CNC Recruitment is excited to be working with our client in Chard to find a skilled Quality Inspector to join their team on a permanent basis. Due to an increase in order levels, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing company.

Location – Chard

Job type – Temporary with the potential to go Permanent

Working hours – Monday to Friday, day shift, offering a 5-day, 39-hour working week.

Salary – up to £16, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct precise inspections on machined components within the inspection department.
  • Perform both first-off and audit inspections using hand-held measurement tools such as Faro Arm, Height Gauges, Verniers, and Shadow Graphs.
  • Assist in managing initial rejection processes, segregation, and containment actions.
  • Collaborate with production staff to resolve any inspection-related issues.

Requirements

  • A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality.
  • CMM experience is preferred, though training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with basic inspection tools and equipment.
  • Good computer and IT skills.
  • Quick to learn new tasks and demonstrate excellent skill retention.
  • A team-oriented approach and ability to work collaboratively.
