Job summary

A precision engineering company in Kent is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform inspections on a variety of components. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records and assisting in defect resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and experience in quality control. Qualifications

  • Experience in quality control or inspection processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of products according to specifications.
  • Label and store defective materials in the quarantine area.
  • Record faults and investigate with the Quality Control Team Leader.

Quality Control Inspector

Department: Quality

Reporting to: Quality Manager

Job purpose: To inspect company products, maintain records and assist with defect resolution.

Salary: Experience Dependant

Security:

  • Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be eligible to obtain security clearance to SC level
Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • To carry out routine inspection on all electrical, electronic, optical and mechanical parts in accordance with specifications and Instro agreed standards. This may be within Piece Part, Goods Inwards, Sub Assembly, Final Inspection or on a patrol basis.
  • To ensure that defective or reject product / material is correctly labelled and stored in a suitably demarcated quarantine area.
  • To ensure that any faults found are recorded as per processes / procedures and investigated with a report issued to the Quality Control Team Leader / Manager.
  • To identify and make recommendations to the quality Manager / staff, where practical, concerning continued improvements.
  • To isolate and calibrate equipment as required to include correct storage and maintain records.
  • To complete work-related administrative documentation in an accurate and timely manner as required by the companys processes or procedures.
  • To maintain the confidentiality of company and customer supplied technical information at all times.
  • To carry out any other related tasks as may be requested from time to time by the Quality Control Manager / Team Leader.
