Job Title: Quality & Compliance Manager

Location: North West

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

An exciting and rapidly growing energy efficiency and renewables business is seeking a Compliance Manager to lead PAS2030, Trustmark and MCS compliance; you will be based in the North West, but need to be willing to travel to client sites as required.

Purpose of the Role

The Compliance Manager will shape, oversee and maintain the organisation’s compliance with PAS 2030, Trustmark and MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) standards, ensuring that all installations, processes, and documentation meet regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and accreditation obligations. The role involves developing compliance processes, carrying out internal audits, liaising with certification bodies, and driving continual improvement to uphold quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

About the role and Benefits:

The offices are North West based and have potential for remote working on a short term basis

Site visits required

Working hours are 40 hours per week (9-5pm or 8-4pm)

Key Responsibilities

  1. Compliance Oversight

    Ensure ongoing compliance with PAS 2030, Trustmark and MCS standards across all relevant projects and installations.

    Ensure all compliance paperwork related to the installation of Energy Efficiency and Renewable measures is correctly documented in line with PAS 2030, Trustmark and MCS standards.

    Ensure zero compliance failures against PAS2030, Trustmark and MCS standards, due to poor or inaccurate submission of information in relation to the installation of Energy Efficiency and Renewable measures.

    Progress any new certifications identified by the company through to accredited status.

    Monitor industry regulation updates and ensure prompt implementation of required changes.

  2. Auditing & Quality Assurance

    Conduct regular internal audits to check alignment with PAS 2030, Trustmark and MCS requirements.

    Prepare for and manage external audits from certification bodies, ensuring evidence and records are complete.

    Track non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and verify resolution.

  3. Training & Guidance

    Provide training and guidance to staff, subcontractors, and installers on PAS 2030, Trustmark and MCS requirements.

    Brief new contractors and site teams on standards, documentation and photographic evidence requirements.

  4. Documentation & Reporting

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date installation records, warranties, customer handovers, and commissioning certificates.

    Work on industry platforms e.g. PAS Hub, EasyPAS, EasyMCS.

    Produce regular compliance reports for senior management per project, highlighting risks, trends, and improvement areas.

  5. Continuous Improvement

    Review processes to identify opportunities for improving quality and efficiency while maintaining compliance.

    Work with operational teams to ensure compliance is embedded into day-to-day activities.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

In-depth knowledge of PAS 2030, Trustmark and MCS requirements.

Understanding of the typical installation process for EWI, CWI, Loft Insulation and solar.

Experience in compliance, auditing, or quality management within the renewable energy and retrofit sectors.

Full Driving License.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to interpret technical and regulatory documents.

Be familiar with online portals, geotagging software, central evidence repositories.

Desirable:

Internal or lead auditor qualification.

Experience working with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.

Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new systems and platforms.

Key Relationships

Reports to: Commercial Director

Works with: Installation Teams, Project Managers, Site Managers, Health & Safety and Customer Service.

Liaises with: Certification bodies, external auditors, regulatory organisations, retrofit coordination services
