Location: London

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and driven Public Law & Human Rights Solicitor to join a leading practice in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex and often high-profile cases that have a real impact on individuals, communities, and society.

You will play a key role in protecting fundamental rights, holding public bodies to account, and ensuring access to justice for vulnerable groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of public law and human rights matters, including judicial review, challenges against public authorities, and strategic litigation.
  • Advise clients on issues such as immigration, community care, civil liberties, education, and healthcare.
  • Represent clients before tribunals, courts, and public inquiries.
  • Undertake legal research, draft submissions, and prepare high-quality advice.
  • Work closely with colleagues to develop innovative strategies that advance human rights protections.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent standards of care and communication.

About You

  • Qualified solicitor (NQ–5 years PQE) with experience in public law and/or human rights litigation.
  • Strong understanding of judicial review principles and procedures.
  • Excellent advocacy, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • A genuine commitment to social justice, equality, and defending human rights.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload with professionalism, empathy, and resilience.
