Overview

Location: Leicester, Leicestershire, LE1. Part time role based at Avon Park School (3 days per week). Our clinicians support educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments for young people with complex needs, including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions and SEMH. As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, you will contribute through clinical assessment and formulation and offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people. Psychologists work collaboratively across schools and children’s homes to ensure therapeutic support permeates education, care and support. You will provide consultation, workshops, training and guidance to the educational and residential teams around our children.

Responsibilities
  • Support educational and residential colleagues to provide clinically informed living and learning environments and experiences for children and young people with complex needs
  • Provide clinical assessment and formulation and deliver individualised interventions and engagement strategies
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure therapeutic approaches permeate all aspects of education, care and support
  • Offer consultation, workshops, training and guidance to educational and residential teams
Qualifications
  • Be a qualified Clinical, Educational, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC
  • Be a specialist with proven skills and experience to assess, formulate and support the delivery of therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs
  • Have experience of supporting the team around a child or young person to provide clinically informed living and learning environments and experiences
  • Be a confident, engaging and effective model, guide, leader and trainer
  • Be highly organised and proactive
  • Be committed to ensuring the best outcomes for young people
