Overview

I am seeking a highly organised and creatively minded Bid Manager to lead and coordinate the preparation of high-quality, visually compelling bid submissions. Based at their office in Green Park, this role is ideal for a candidate with a strong foundation in graphic design and advanced skills in Adobe InDesign, who also has a solid understanding of the construction or built environment sector.

You will play a central role in managing the end-to-end bid process from strategy and document control to content creation and stakeholder coordination while also shaping the visual presentation of our submissions to reflect the company's brand and win themes. Working closely with the Senior Estimator, designers and wider pre-construction team, you'll ensure design proposals align with both client requirements and commercial strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Identify and assign all tender and/or PQQ deliverables
  • Set win strategies with the team for each tender and adapt as necessary during the tender period
  • Ensure client Design Team is met by Bid Team
  • Full document control of bid documentation
  • Ensure tender information has been printed and distributed to team
  • Responsible for allocation of work to the Proposals Design team and ensure deadlines are met
  • Proactively coordinate and follow up with internal teams, designers, and stakeholders to ensure timely submission of design inputs, content, and approvals for bid documentation
  • Work closely with the Senior Estimator to ensure design proposals align with cost plans, technical constraints and commercial strategy
  • Review tender submission documents and look at innovative ways to improve submissions
  • Obtain feedback on all tender and PQQ submissions
  • Ensure design solutions align with client briefs, technical requirements, and buildability considerations
  • Identify design risks and opportunities and lead value engineering initiatives during pre-construction
  • Manage bid collateral and ensure information is being updated; review document structures and ensure they align with the tender deliverables; proofread all tender submission documents before submission
  • Ensure the delivery team are fully prepared for any mid or post tender interviews
  • Arrange presentation material required for tender interviews
  • Ensure launch and adjudication meetings have been setup for every tender
  • Ensure CRM opportunities information is always kept up to date
  • Manage risk and opportunities on all tenders via liaising with the tender team
  • Innovate methods of presentation for both tender documentation and presentation material
  • Create bid content where necessary - utilising expertise of colleagues
Requirements
  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign, with the ability to format and produce high-quality, visually engaging bid documents
  • Background in Graphic Design or understanding
  • Experience within construction, preferable main contractor but not essential
  • Excellent understanding of the procurement processes
  • Understanding the different forms of contract
  • Able to meet deadlines
