Overview

Project Support Officer – Digital Delivery • 5 posts • These posts are 12 Month Fixed Term / Secondment positions. Candidates currently employed by a NHS Board will be offered this position on a secondment only basis.

The Organisation

National Services Scotland (NSS) is a national NHS Board operating at the heart of NHSScotland, providing support and advice at strategic and operational levels. NSS supports customers to deliver their services more efficiently and effectively and offers shared services and specialist support on a national scale using best-in-class systems and standards. Within NSS, the Digital & Security directorate delivers national digital, data and cyber programmes to help boards provide safer, more efficient care. The Post

NHS National Services Scotland – Digital & Security Directorate is seeking five motivated and organised Project Support Officers to deliver vital support across a portfolio of national digital programmes. Working within the Portfolio Delivery Services team, you will support projects spanning digital transformation, cyber-security, data governance and clinical IT.

You Will
  • Maintain trackers and governance logs (risks, issues, actions) for multiple projects
  • Coordinate workshops, meetings and associated documentation
  • Draft clear minutes, action logs and reports for senior stakeholders
  • Liaise with colleagues across NSS, Scottish Government and NHS Boards
The Candidate

We are looking for someone with:

  • Diploma-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in project support or digital delivery
  • Practical experience of Microsoft 365 (Teams, Planner, Excel, Word)
  • Well-developed communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a customer-focused approach

These roles sit in a digital delivery environment and offer a strong development path towards Digital Project Management.

Location and Working Pattern

Posts will be based at either Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow. Currently hybrid working. Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
