Planning Engineer - Structural Steel Projects (UK Wide)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Planning Engineer to work on major structural steel projects across the UK. This role will suit someone with a strong engineering background and proven experience in delivering planning support on steelwork or large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and monitor project programmes using Primavera P6 and MS Project.

• Provide planning expertise at both pre-construction and delivery stages.

• Prepare tender programmes, logistics plans, and programme narratives.

• Track progress, identify risks/delays, and advise on mitigation strategies.

• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Candidate Requirements

• Engineering background (structural steel or construction sector experience is essential).

• Previous experience as a Planning Engineer within steelwork or major construction projects.

• High-level proficiency in P6 and MS Project.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Flexibility to travel to project sites across the UK when required.
