About Our Client

I'm currently partnered with a hugely successful Sheffield based manufacturer who supply an exceptional range of engineered products to a large customer base, across the UK, Europe, USA and beyond. With a growing customer base and an ever-increasing order volume, my client is looking to grow their Project capabilities with the introduction of an additional Project Manager. They are looking for a customer-focussed and results driven Project/Programme Manager who will have responsibility for several projects from cradle to grave for a key new customer.

Job Description

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, to the required standards and within budget.
  • Driving cross-functional collaboration with sales, engineering, supply chain and production operations to deliver the project for the customer.
  • Being involved in the contract reviews, quoting and update meetings with all relevant stakeholders, holding both internal and external bodies to account.
  • Identifying project risks and opportunities across the contract lifecycle, mitigating these as quickly as possible, and maintaining the relevant risk registers, issue logs and action plans.
  • Ensuring project status and performance is visible throughout the business, keeping all departments updated of any changes.


The Successful Applicant

Successful candidates will have a strong project management background and a good understanding of high value, low volume manufacturing. You will also possess:

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to lead and engage across cross- functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability at managing the project lifecycle from conception to completion, delivering on time, within budgets and to the desired standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple internal stakeholders and work alongside customers from the UK, EU, USA and beyond.
  • Strong commercial acumen and decision-making skillset at a high level.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, acting as an agent for change and bringing forward ideas to challenge the status quo.
