Job Role: Project Manager - Construction & Infrastructure Projects
Location: HMS Collingwood, covering approximately 10 sites between Fareham and Marchwood
Salary: £46,000-£52,000, plus company car or car allowance (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of Billable Works and infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to relevant government regulations, statutory requirements, and health and safety policies.
- Oversee and monitor the performance of Supply Chain teams to ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality, safety, and compliance.
- Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Liaise with Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) representatives, customer service teams, and site managers to define project scope, set priorities, and agree on delivery timelines.
- Manage all project documentation, ensuring timely updates and accurate records through systems such as Maximo and SharePoint.
- Support end users in identifying solutions that meet customer needs, including contributing to Ministry of Defence carbon reduction objectives.
- Lead on the resolution of customer issues and ensure timely response to complaints.
- Maintain strong cost control, ensuring value for money and sound commercial decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks and ensure project plans align with operational requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should bring:
- Proven experience in project management within a construction or infrastructure environment.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive performance and deliver results.
- Demonstrated capability in cost control, operational planning, and risk management.
- Hands-on experience managing site operations and resolving complex challenges effectively.
- A HNC/D-level qualification in Building/Civil Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Solid understanding of project delivery from concept to completion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with CAFM systems, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (APM, RICS, MCIOB) is desirable.
- Additional training in areas such as Asbestos or Legionella Responsible Person or Authorised Person Training would be advantageous.
