At Aviva, our UKGI Claims team is at the heart of delivering great outcomes for our customers – and making sure we manage costs responsibly.

Claims re-engineering launched in early 2022 and is an ambitious transformation programme targeted at closing the gap to market-leading performance. It encompasses change across operations, process, IT, data and analytics, and stretches across all lines of business.

We’re looking for visionary project managers who thrive on change and want to make a real impact, with strong project delivery expertise who are adaptable. You’ll be working at the centre of exciting and challenging change, identifying opportunities, driving real value, and delivering impactful transformation across our operations.

A bit about the job:

Responsibilities

Working closely with business and IT colleagues, as a Project Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing projects from initiation through to completion. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope and on budget.

You could be involved in driving the following types of large-scale transformation activity:

  • Automation and data
  • Process change, understanding best practice and business readiness activities
  • Enhancing colleague, customer and broker solutions through use of digital technology
Qualifications
  • Established project manager with a track record of successful project delivery, ideally across both process and digital change. Working knowledge of Prince2 and/or Agile (or similar change/project methodology) is preferred
  • An excellent communicator (written and verbal) who can build effective working relationships across functions, with peers and senior colleagues/stakeholders, with the ability to inspire and bring people with you
  • Proven experience of project planning and utilising systems to track milestones/progress such as Jira (or similar) would be beneficial
  • Works well under pressure, demonstrates energy and pace, takes ownership and finds solutions to keep things simple and streamlined
  • Passionate about delivering change and successful outcomes, partnered with the ability to drive the necessary changes
What you’ll get for this role

Our purpose - with you today, for a better tomorrow – is a promise we make to our colleagues too. And one of the ways we live up to that promise is by investing in you. We have so much to offer when it comes to being an Aviva colleague.

  • Starting salary circa £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
  • Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
  • Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
  • 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days
  • Aviva-funded Private Medical Benefit to help you get expert support when you need it
  • Make your money go further - Up to 40% discount on Aviva products, and other retailer discounts
  • Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through our Matching Share Plan and share in the success of Aviva with our Save As You Earn scheme
  • Brilliantly supportive policies including parental and carer’s leave
  • Flexible benefits to suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work
  • Make a difference, be part of our Aviva Communities and use your 3 paid volunteering days to help others
  • We take your wellbeing seriously with lots of support and tools

We’re inclusive and welcome everyone – we want applications from all backgrounds and experiences. Even if you don’t tick every box, we would still encourage you to apply. We also consider all forms of flexible working, including part time and job shares.

We flex locations, hours and working patterns to suit our customers, business, and you. Most of our people are smart working – spending around 50% of their time in our offices every week.
