Position Title: Project Manager
Duration: Contract/Outside IR35
Location: Dunton, Essex

Our prestigious client based in Dunton is looking for a Project Manager to join their team.

Please note you need to be eligible to work within the UK

Essential Criteria:
  • Project Manager to work for automotive OEM.
  • The role requires strong project governance, excellent analytical capability, and advanced MS Office skills—particularly in Excel and Power BI—to support data‑driven planning and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement & Supplier Coordination
  • Track and manage Engineers' RFI, PIR, and RFQ for packaging, equipment, and material‑handling solutions.
  • Collate and communicate responses across engineering, procurement, and logistics teams.
  • Project Execution
  • Manage project risks, issues, and changes.
  • Monitor budget forecasts and project cash flow.
  • Maintain and update the Materials Handling Project Plan.
  • Coordinate communication between logistics, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.
  • Support User Acceptance, including packaging trials, fit checks, and equipment commissioning.
  • End‑of‑Phase Reviews
  • De‑commission project phases and perform evaluations.
  • Identify follow‑up actions and outstanding risks.
  • Deliver project closure reports, lessons learned, and documentation handover.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years' experience in automotive OEM or Tier‑1 environments.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially advanced Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder‑management ability.
