Job Title: Project Management Professional

Salary: Up to £40,000 dependent on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:
  • Assist the Project Manager in coordinating day-to-day project activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Apply planning and scheduling knowledge to review and interrogate project activities, ensuring plans are realistic, integrated, and reflective of current progress.
  • Assist in the management of assigned cost accounts, helping to ensure delivery to agreed budget, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Coordinate and control project change, ensuring impacts are understood and recorded, while supporting continuous improvement across the programme and wider business.
  • Support the identification and management of project risks and opportunities, maintaining accurate records and contributing to effective mitigation and exploitation strategies.
  • Maintain a strong focus on milestone achievement, contract deliverables, and acceptance events, ensuring they are clearly tracked and proactively managed.
Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience working in a project environment, with a good understanding of project management tools, techniques, and practices, and the ability to apply these in routine situations while following guidance in more complex scenarios.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and consolidate information to support sound judgement and decision-making.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to influence, build rapport, and convey information clearly and diplomatically.
  • Awareness of the project lifecycle, with an understanding of key stages, processes, and controls involved in delivering successful projects.
  • Experience within a complex engineering / defence / manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with project governance frameworks and reporting processes within a large or complex organisation
