Job Description

As a Project Engineer you will be tasked with the following:

  • Lead and coordinate new product introduction and change-management projects from enquiry through to delivery.
  • Develop and manage project plans, gateways, milestones, budgets, and risk‑mitigation actions.
  • Drive APQP activities and compile PPAP documentation in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Resolve project roadblocks, assign accountability, and ensure issues are closed out effectively.
  • Coordinate and manage customer RFQs, review costings, and prepare competitive quotations.
  • Chair project meetings, communicate progress to stakeholders, and maintain consistent project documentation.
  • Provide technical support across departments and ensure strong cross‑functional communication.
  • Conduct lessons‑learned reviews and ensure adherence to internal project management processes.
  • Coach, support, and guide project team members to promote strong performance and development.
The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Engineer should have:

  • Engineering/Manufacturing degree / HNC or equivalent industry experience is essential
  • Knowledge & Experience of PPAP & APQP is essential (FAI advantageous)
  • 3 Years experience of project management within a manufacturing environment is essential
  • Understanding of CNC machining principles
  • Knowledge of Castings, Extrusions & Forgings would be advantageous
  • Recognised Project Management Qualification (desirable)
  • Excellent IT skills with an in depth knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project
  • Experience of managing manufacturing projects on schedule and within budget
  • Experience interfacing with customers
  • Working knowledge of MS Project
