Project Engineer

Here at KDC, we are looking for a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager in successfully delivering high-profile programmes. This role is crucial for maintaining progress across timescales, budget, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Project Manager in organising, controlling and monitoring all aspects of project delivery.
  • Track project timescales, technical progress, and budgets using structured reporting and planning tools.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly updates to senior stakeholders and programme leadership.
  • Maintain live project documentation including risk and opportunity registers, KPI tracking, and change notices.
  • Contribute to programme-level planning and provide regular updates to key internal stakeholders (e.g. Programme Office, budget holders).
  • Attend and support weekly steering meetings and full team meetings, providing status updates and structured breakdowns by topic.
  • Coordinate procurement activity including goods receipt and system input.
  • Manage budget spreadsheets and support earned value tracking.
  • Monitor and report on project KPIs and ensure data accuracy.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to internal project and reporting processes.
  • Act as a key communication link between technical teams, leadership, and external stakeholders.
