Job summary

An educational support organization is seeking a dedicated Progress Coach to work in West Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will deliver personal development sessions, support students' progression, and facilitate engaging group discussions. Experience with young people and strong communication skills are essential. This part-time, temporary role offers flexibility with two different schedules starting ASAP.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young people in an educational or pastoral support capacity.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Confidence in delivering group sessions on a wide range of personal, social, and employability topics.
  • An understanding of the barriers that students may face in progressing and achieving, with the ability to offer practical and emotional support.
  • A collaborative approach to working with teaching staff, support teams, and external organisations.
  • Proficiency with digital tools for tracking and monitoring student progress.
  • Ideal but not essential: A Teaching qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and responsive personal development sessions that prepare students for the world of work and support their overall wellbeing.
  • Facilitate safe and inclusive group discussions that encourage open debate, critical thinking, and respectful dialogue.
  • Organise and host a range of guest speakers who bring lived experiences related to both general personal development and specific industry sectors.
  • Prepare students for work placements through targeted sessions and activities that build employability skills and confidence.
  • Monitor and document students' work experience placements using college tracking software, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Liaise closely with curriculum teams, tutors, and support services to identify and support students who may be at risk of disengagement or underachievement.
  • Adapt delivery and content to remain current, relevant, and responsive to student needs, wider societal issues, and employment trends.

Rate: 15.50 - 17.50

Eden Brown are looking for a dedicated and student-focused Progress Coach for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire to join their supportive team and help learners thrive during their time at College.

There are 2 roles available:

  • Role 1 - Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
  • Role 2 - Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Both to start asap.

As a Progress Coach, you will play a key role in supporting students personal development and progression, working both one-to-one and in group settings. You will deliver a comprehensive personal development programme designed to prepare students for life beyond college—whether that\'s employment, further study, or apprenticeships.
