Job description

Location: Burnley

Pay rate: 28.85-40 per hour

Job type: 37 Hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Contract: 6 Months

Rotherwood Education are seeking an experienced and highly organised Programme Leader to take interim responsibility for an Engineering Apprenticeship provision. The focus will be on programme management, quality assurance, staff support, and learner progress.

This position is set to start ASAP, and it is full-time for 6 months.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate apprenticeship delivery across Engineering standards.
  • Oversee curriculum plans, learner progress, and end-point assessment preparation.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Training & Development Coaches and Tutors, including those new to assessing.
  • Ensure robust IQA processes and timely completion of quality assurance activity.
  • Maintain compliance with ESFA funding requirements and internal procedures.
  • Use OneFile and MIS systems to track progress and report performance.
  • Build strong relationships with apprentices, staff, and employers.
  • Contribute to programme self-assessment and quality improvement activity.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to enhance the learning experience

Requirements:

  • Assessor and IQA qualifications.
  • Proven experience managing apprenticeship provision.
  • Strong working knowledge of apprenticeship systems (particularly OneFile).
  • Experience of meeting ESFA funding, Ofsted, and awarding body requirements.
  • Confident in mentoring staff and supporting team development.
  • Able to work across two sites.
  • Strong leadership to ensure apprentices are on track, employers remain engaged, and staff are fully supported to deliver excellent outcomes.
