Role Overview:

The Markets Operations Transformation team has been formed to support stakeholders both within Operations and across the bank, to design and deliver this multi-year transformation roadmap. Our transformation is underpinned by strategy, investment, change execution and a market-leading operations change delivery team focussing on programme and project management, business analysis and process re‑engineering.

The team is currently recruiting for a OTC Derivatives Settlements Project Manager at SVP level to take a lead role as part of the Markets Operations Transformation team. The candidate will support Operations to drive and execute our OTC Settlements Strategy, including technical infrastructure change and operating model.

Initial functional scope of this role will include OTC Derivatives Settlement for Markets Operations but may be subject to change as a result of business priorities, programme budgets and overall transformation priorities.

  • Serve as an analytical and/or procedural expert in the settlement cycle, providing strategic guidance and support to a wide range of internal and external clients.
  • Lead the resolution of complex settlement‑related issues, liaising with multiple teams and departments on varying matters, defining problems, developing innovative solutions, streamlining processes, and specifically leading strategic “change‑the‑bank” settlement projects.
  • Supports planning, directing and coordination of day‑to‑day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
  • Works with Operations stakeholders and builds and manages relationships.
  • Works with stakeholders to ensure program scope definition meets operations objective, ensuring requirements are clearly documented, strategic and are well understood by all stakeholders and Technology.
  • Support the Operations line team with their test preparation and execution.
  • Leads the identification and drives resolution of issues, including those outside of the immediate workstream within their remit.
  • Drives adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery as defined by Citi PM standards.
What we’ll need from you:
  • Demonstrate a consistent track record having worked with Transformation as a Project Manager managing teams and delivery on large, strategic cross‑functional projects.
  • In‑depth understanding of Settlements, Derivatives or Operations within Markets.
  • Knowledge & experience of relevant 3rd party vendor applications and industry initiatives with ability to incorporate transformation opportunities into long‑term Target Operating model.
  • Proven ability to manage various concurrent activities/projects in a high‑risk environment.
  • Effective project management and negotiation skills.
  • Consistently demonstrated clear and concise written and verbal communication.
