Overview

This is a direct hire position with a well-established, stable, and growing manufacturer located south of the Birmingham area. Salary range is 75 to 85k+ based on experience and overall skill set.

The Production Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the assembly department, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols are met. This role involves supervising and coaching technicians, managing workflows, resolving production issues, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, delegate, and monitor production tasks to meet quality and output targets.
  • Train, coach, and discipline assembly team members.
  • Coordinate with team leads and manage attendance and scheduling.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts and continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure proper machine setup and address material/tooling issues.
  • Maintain daily communication and use inventory/time-tracking systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and ability to read technical drawings and use measurement tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
