Job summary

A prominent manufacturing company in Southampton is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead and motivate a team of 30-40 staff, including 3 Team Leaders. This role involves overseeing production operations, maintaining quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, strong leadership skills, and a background in test or process engineering would be advantageous. This permanent position offers a salary of £50,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in similar or adjacent roles within electronics manufacturing.
• Strong team leadership and supervisory experience.
• Technical knowledge of electronics assembly (circuit boards, soldering, testing).
• Background in test or process engineering is highly desirable.
• Excellent people skills and ability to manage large teams.
• CI/Lean experience would be a strong advantage.

This is a key leadership role overseeing production operations and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will manage a team of 30-40 staff, including 3 Team Leaders, ensuring quality standards and operational efficiency are met.

We need someone who can take ownership of day-to-day production activities and drive performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate closely with QA teams to maintain high-quality standards.
• Lead and motivate production teams, ensuring smooth workflow and problem-solving on the shop floor.
• Oversee electronics assembly processes, including circuit board building, soldering, and line operations.
• Implement and support Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean initiatives.
• Manage production schedules and resources effectively.

Hours: Monday-Friday, day shifts (Some flexibility within core hours)
