• Plan and schedule department tasks on a daily basis.
• Maintain up-to-date shop floor schedules.
• Provide lead times for new orders.
• Assist with day-to-day admin work.
• Manage stock levels to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor late customer orders and prioritize workload.
• Support other production planners on a daily basis.
• Communicate large orders to aid factory resource planning.
• Work alongside supervisors to maximize efficiency.
• Liaise with supervisors to meet daily demands.

Job description

Overview

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a production planner for our busy and well established client based in Dartford.

This is a temporary to permanent role for the right candidate.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:30 - 16:00 on Fridays.

Pay for this role will be starting at £12.82 per hour.

In this role you will be working within a team to plan orders for the factory efficiently and organised.

You will be working working with others to keep a good workflow and offering support to departments where needed. This may be through admin tasks or assisting plan areas during busy periods.

Duties

Duties will include:

• Planning/Scheduling department on day to day basis.
• Assisting keeping shop floor schedules up to date.
• Giving lead times on new orders.
• Assisting the department/factory with day-to-day admin work.
• Maintaining stock levels to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor Late customer orders and prioritise workload for the factory.
• Assisting other production planners on a day to day.
• Communicate large orders to the factory to aid in resource planning.
• Work alongside factory supervisors to maximise efficiency and output.
• Liaise with factory supervisors to ensure daily demands are met.

Skills and experience

• Must have a strong level of computer skills.
• Good knowledge on Microsoft office (Especially Excel)
• Ability to be organised
• Ability to work to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy
• Must be reliable, conscientious, and hard working
