Role

What will you be doing?

  • Manage the production schedule to maintain sufficient availability for off the shelf products and ad hoc requirements to meet Sales demand.
  • Run daily and weekly reports to utilise the analytical data to react quickly to changing demands, re-prioritise departmental workload based on production capacity, sales information and ageing stock.
  • Convert the requirements generated by customer orders into a manageable and achievable production schedule.
  • Ensure effective stock rotation is adhered to ensuring products reaching end of life are cycled through the production process to minimize wastage.
  • Keep the ERP system updated from a works orders perspective.
  • Liaise with all supply chain functions to manage shortages/issues to reduce impact to customer order due date.
  • Work alongside QA to convert quarantined product, via rework into saleable stock.
  • Provide administrative support during annual stock take.
  • Keep constant dialogue with Purchasing department to understand raw material supply constraints and expedite items as and when required.

You will also deputise for the Inventory and Planning Manager.

Who are You?

Qualifications

  • GCSE C in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a planning role, and in a manufacturing environment is desirable
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety
  • Sound understanding of ERP Software, preferably JDE
