Job summary

You will be responsible for adhering to quality specifications and safety procedures while working effectively within a team.   • Packing and inspecting work at different machines as production requires.
  • Meet customer requirements in full, inspecting work carried out and packing correctly.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed to maintain a safe working environment.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Packing and Inspection work at different machines, as production requires.
  • Understand and adhere to all CQS (critical quality specification) sheets.
  • Meet customer requirements in full, inspecting work carried out and pack correctly in accordance with IATF 16949 standards.
  • Ensure housekeeping, box assembly, labelling is carried out accurately.
Procedures
  • Carry out the Scrap Procedure and all Packing Methods in full.
  • Identify good and poor-quality parts, stopping the press when required, reporting all problems to your Team Leader or the relevant responsible person on shift.
Labels
  • Ensure all old labels are removed from any packaging before you use it.
  • Always ensure you place the correct label on a box before you place any parts inside.
  • Ensure your Packer Number is always on the label, to avoid using someone elses number.
  • When jobs are rotated, always make sure you change the packer numbers.
Press Actions
  • Responsible for effectively operating all presses in the following areas: Emergency stop, Automatic, Semi-Automatic, and Preheat.
  • Zero the clock at the end of your shift, in preparation for the next shift.
Safety
  • Follow all safety procedures in full, ensuring safety is a number one priority.
  • Support Zero LTA and Accidents in the workplace.
  • Always wear the correct PPE for the work you are carrying out.
  • Report all safety issues and concerns to your Shift team leader immediately.
Housekeeping
  • Always maintain a clean and safe working environment, cleaning all areas you work in and ensure walkways are swept.
  • Work in accordance with the 5S standard, ensuring everything is completed in full and left to the correct standard.
