Overview

Our client, a prominent company in the manufacturing sector, is currently looking for a Production Operative/FLT Driver to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working with continuous polymer compounding extruders to produce high-quality thermoplastic materials. The successful individual will be part of a team dedicated to maintaining high standards of production, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setting up machines according to relevant specifications and monitoring product quality
  • Requesting, measuring, and loading all raw materials as required
  • Maximising machine outputs and ensuring production requirements are met
  • Conducting Quality Control tests such as Ash, MFI, and volatiles, and promptly informing supervision of any quality deviations
  • Ensuring effective communication with the Shift Supervisor regarding production status and any arising issues
  • Adhering to equipment procedures and disciplinary practices
  • Maintaining good housekeeping practices at all times
  • Following procedures designed in accordance with ISO 9001 to ensure product quality
  • Maintaining high standards of attendance
  • Complying with Health and Safety legislation and company policies to ensure safe working conditions
Job Requirements
  • Good level of general education
  • Current fork truck counterbalance license
  • Literate, numerate, and accurate with basic figures
  • Good health record
  • Reliable and able to work as a member of a team
  • Ability to work on own initiative
Work Schedule

The position involves working a 40-hour week on a 3-shift rotating system (Days - Nights - Afternoons) Monday to Friday.
