What we achieve together

Responsibilities
  • The successful applicant will work within the department that is responsible for all current model, new product introduction, engineering, and continuous improvement activities within the plant.
  • You will be part of a team of engineers collaborating across functions, from Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and maintenance, both locally and with group colleagues.
  • Driving actions with cross functional teams to improve all KPIs for the plant, ensuring production attainment, efficiency, quality, and scrap reduction objectives are achieved.
  • Manage and implement engineering change requests from design to production.
  • Support electro-pneumatic production test equipment and monitoring of key plant and process parameters, recommending data derived corrective actions as required.
  • Working with NPI Project engineers to implement new products and process improvements to existing and new production lines.
Qualifications
  • A background in a Mechanical / Electrical / Process engineering discipline is required and the relevant practical experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience of automated powder paint spray plants would be an advantage.
  • Ideally educated to degree level but individuals with HNC, relevant qualifications and industrial experience will be considered.
  • Experience of automated assembly management systems and production IT systems.
  • A proven track record as a process / manufacturing engineer delivering significant value to an organisation and having a sense of urgency to deliver to your internal customers solutions on time and to requirement.
  • Ability to work effectively and communicate with cross-functional teams and being a key team player is essential to this role; you will need to have good interpersonal skills and be a proactive engineer able to work with all levels of an organisation.
  • Possess a practical approach to problem solving using A3 / 8D problem solving methodology, analytical with experience of robust data driven decisions.
