Overview

Product Specialist - Field Based

Location: Home-based ideally from OX or CB Postcode (with national travel and visits to Milton Keynes)

About the Company: Our client is a global leader in automation and fluid control solutions, serving sectors including automotive, food & beverage, packaging, and life sciences. Their UK headquarters in Milton Keynes brings together offices, design, manufacturing, and warehousing on one substantial site.

The Role

We are seeking a Product Specialist to join the products team in a varied and customer-facing position. Working closely with the field sales team, you\'ll provide application expertise, technical product knowledge, and sales support to drive market share growth.

The role focuses on a specialist product portfolio, including:

• Chillers
• Heat exchangers
• Sensors
• Media separated valves
• Clean wet pumps
• Process gas controls

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the sales team with product knowledge during customer visits
• Growing sales of the specialist product range through value-driven solutions
• Identifying and researching new opportunities in target markets
• Producing marketing and training material, and promoting products at trade shows
• Developing strong working relationships with customers to solve problems from a technical perspective
• Maintaining accurate CRM records and consistently meeting/exceeding targets

The Person

We\'re looking for a commercially aware, technically skilled individual with strong communication and influencing skills.

Essential requirements:

• HND (or equivalent) or relevant industry experience
• Proven track record with chillers, heat exchangers, sensors, media separated valves, clean wet pumps, or process gas controls
• Experience in applications within life sciences, medical, or electronics industries
• Ability to communicate and influence at all levels, internally and externally
• Highly driven, with a passion for customer satisfaction and technical problem solving
• Full UK driving licence and valid passport (some European travel may be required)

Desirable:

• Degree in a Science or Engineering discipline
• 5+ years\' experience in a customer-facing technical or sales role
