Overview

Job Title: Procurement Manager
Location: Brighton, East Sussex
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience)
Term: Permanent

SRG are working with a well-respected, global company specialising in the creation of speciality chemicals for several markets. They are undergoing an exciting growth journey and are looking for a Procurement Manager to lead a small purchasing team and enhance procurement strategies. This is an opportunity to own and lead procurement optimisation projects within the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small purchasing team
• Carry out training, development and performance reviews of the team
• Understand the current purchasing and stock management processes
• Identify areas for improvement to increase efficiencies
• Use the internal ERP and utilise the system to its full potential
• Manage the full procurement process for a range of speciality chemicals
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers
• Create and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the suppliers
• Liaise with multiple departments in the business including Logistics and Sales

Requirements

• Recent CIPS qualification
• Proven recent experience as a Procurement Manager, ideally in a technical manufacturing environment (not essential)
• Able to be on site near Brighton 5 days a week
• A proactive approach and drive to deliver exceptional service
• Willing and excited to implement positive change and process improvements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
