PROCUREMENT ADMINISTRATOR (INDIRECTS)

COMPETITIVE SALARY

Progress Rail is looking to recruit a Procurement Administrator to deliver added value (cost savings efficiencies) performance and quality improvements reduce risks with material supply and support related corporate goals through our external supply chain.

The successful candidate will assist with purchasing goods and services that support the operations of the business but are not directly included in the products or services sold. This can include office supplies maintenance services software and anything else needed for the day to day operations of the business. The role of the procurement support is to manage expenses and ensure the efficient operation of the business without directly affecting the production process.

THE ROLE :

As a Procurement Administrator you will be required to :
  • Review and support with the current setup of our Coupa system and working with the Indirect Lead to deep dive and determine best practice for the system to work with us and internal stakeholders raising orders
  • Purchase of indirect products and services in support of business operations
  • Review indirect spend and requisitions ensuring application of procurement processes
  • Support the setting up of the new contract management system (Avetta) for all site contractors
  • Assist with updating our approved supplier system
  • Liaise with suppliers for required documentation and certification
  • Support the finance team with any invoice queries
  • Create and manage a live on hire report of all plant machinery tooling etc we have on hire at all our sites to control spend
  • Assist with setting up the approved supplier system with supplier scope of supply to provide a robust user friendly supplier system for all stakeholders
  • Continually strive to reduce the costs within the process
  • Escalate supply issues (internal or external) to Team Lead
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures
THE CANDIDATE :
  • MRP / ERP experience (beneficial)
  • Competent IT skills Excel VLOOKUPS etc
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Previous experience working with suppliers
  • Highly motivated able to work as part of a team as well as the initiative to work alone as and when required
  • Effective time management able to work within tight timescales in line with production requirements / needs
  • Flexibility to move between sites if required
