This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality team in a role where you willdrive improvement in process safety performance across the region UK & Ireland
- You will establish processes and tools to assess the effectiveness of process safety management systems, such as process safety incident reviews, process safety risk assessment action management, management of safety critical devices, process safety performance indicators, audit and management review programmes, and use the feedback obtained to ensure continuous improvement
- In addition, you will conduct regular learning needs analysis for those involved with process safety management systems, and coordinate/develop and deliver training and competence assessment resources to suit
- You will lead the approach to managing ad-hoc process safety issues (e.g. new legislation/standards, problem-solving initiatives, response to incidents), either directly or via the Regional SHEQ Advisor network as appropriate
- As part of this role, you will manage the regional arrangements to ensure compliance with the COMAH Regulations and other relevant legislation and standards, through clearly defined responsibilities/accountability and robust processes
- You will manage the compilation and review of COMAH safety reports (including authoring of SHEQ-related content) and the response to COMAH Competent Authority feedback
- Furthermore, you will represent the company in meetings with Regulatory Authorities, when process safety management expertise is required

- You have experience of coordinating, or contributing to, COMAH safety reports
- Experience of interaction with regulatory authorities
- In addition, you have a NEBOSH certificate or similar
- Are able to think strategically and turn competing priorities into a coherent plan
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Furthermore, you are able to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organisation
- Preferably have an Engineering degree with at least five years working in a comparable industry
